German language for young learners

The sooner a child starts to learn a second language the better. And the more motivated the child is to learn the new language, the more successful he will be!

Young children are natural language acquirers; they are self-motivated to pick up language without conscious learning, unlike adolescents and adults. They have the ability to imitate pronunciation and work out the rules for themselves. When children start learning a foreign language, they bring to bear all this previous experience of finding or constructing meaning in order to make sense of the world around them. Through making meaning and language accessible, children are increasingly motivated to use the foreign language to express what they want to say.
