Club Teatro JRC and AIST APS are thrilled to invite boys and girls aged 7 to 17 to embark on a magical journey into the captivating realm of Hans Christian Andersen’s imagination.Throughout this immersive summer camp, we will delve deep into the enchanting stories of Hans Christian Andersen, including classics like “The Little Mermaid” and “The Ugly Duckling.” The campers will have the opportunity to learn how AI can enhance storytelling and create their own modern adaptations of these beloved fairy tales.
Our exciting camp features Pokémon games, outdoor activities, and art workshops.

Welcome!
My name is Larissa Shoup, and I am from San Diego,California. My educational background consists of two associate
degrees: one in sociology and another in liberal studies with an emphasis in social and behavioral sciences, along with a bachelor’s
degree in sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.Besides my passion for education, I love creating a positive
environment to foster the youth of our future!
I gained personal experience in professional educational institutions as an employer of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and the
Santa Barbara Unified School District. Specifically at Santa Barbara High School, I worked as a teacher’s aid to an English Language Arts
teacher, assisting seventeen youth ranging from 15-16 year olds. My goal as a positive role model was to empower at-promise youth to excel
in an academic environment, even with English being a second language for most students at the high school.
The summer camp will focus on one of the most beloved storytellers, Danish author Hans Christian Andersen’s and his enchanting fairy tales
for all ages. Join us as we embark on a captivating journey through the magical realms of Hans Christian Andersen!
